As the new year rolls around we have been looking at the trends that are set to hit the rails and take the 2020 fashion world by storm. Here is a little round up of some of 2020’s predicted trends.
Colourful Leather
Once reserved for chic autumn and winter looks, leather is in on the Spring/Summer catwalk and it’s looking a lot brighter than usual. Greens, blues purples and red leather have been seen by the likes of Louis Vuitton and Coach adding an extra splash of colour early this year. Once branded “pleather”, vegan and faux leather is also back as an ethical alternative to show off these bright leather looks.
Colours
Pantone has diligently watched the 2020 catwalk shows and plucked out the most featured colours on the runway this year. We can see their colour of the year 2020 Classic Blue, surrounded by an array of both bright and muted tones. Fiery “orange peel” and “Flame Scarlet” offering warmer bold colours and “Sunlight” and “Lark” providing a chicer sophisticated look.
Neon
Neon is here to stay and in a big way. We have seen neon creeping back onto the scene for the past few years but looking at 2020 catwalks and pretty much every high-street store we can see it’s here to stay. Every Stabilo lover’s dream wardrobe is here for the long run, brightening up our streets this Spring/Summer.
Big bags
Gone are the days of only being able to carry your phone, keys and a card. It would seem that big bags are back and they’re making a statement. Bags of 2020 are big and bold, and acting as the focal point of your outfit. If you like the practicality of being able to carry everything bar the kitchen sink, then this trend may well be for you.
Bucket hats
Buckets made a little come back last year, and we thought “surely not?” but they’re back for good. Featured on the Fendi and Giorgio Armani catwalks, the bucket hat is back with a vengeance on the high fashion scene. In a wide range of colours and designs you can really use a bucket hat as a subtle addition to an outfit or use it to really make a fashion statement.
Crochet
No longer limited to blankets and doilies at Grandma’s house, crochet is a hot, unique, trend to add a little something different to your looks this season. Everyone will be embracing their inner boho queen with a cute little crochet dress, top or trousers.
And Florals
