Every now and again it is important to take a moment to appreciate the people you work with that help keep the cogs turning and that make BIDBI the great company it is. Today we had a little chat with one of our Account Managers, Abi to get to know her a little better.
What is your job role? My job role is an Account Manager, people come to me with all their questions and I help guide them through the order process.
Why did you first apply to work at BIDBI? I did some translation work for BIDBI as a university student, which gave me an insight into the company’s ethical and environmental standpoint and when I heard they were hiring after I graduated I thought it would be a good company to work for.
What has been your highlight working for BIDBI? I went to the Ambiente trade show in Germany, back in February, which was a really great experience; I got to meet lots of new clients and use my language skills.
If you were given £5 what would you spend it on? Probably a nice drink from Costa!
Where is a place you would love to travel to? I’d really like to go to New Zealand. I don’t know too much about it, so I’d like to learn more and explore some of the beautiful landscapes.
What animal would be your ideal pet? It would have to be a dog; I grew up with one and you just can’t beat their loyalty and a wagging tail to come home to.
If you had a day off what would you spend it doing? I like to go walking on my days off so probably a walk in the peaks followed by a pub lunch!
What is your guilty pleasure? The office wouldn’t quite be the same without our sweet treat on a Friday afternoon!
Tell us the most interesting fact you know. All humans are only born with two phobias: a fear of falling and a fear of loud sounds.
How do you make your own life more environmentally friendly? I’ve always been brought up to recycle so I try to throw as little in the general bin as possible. Recently I’ve also been looking into ways to reduce my consumption of disposable things by switching to items such as reusable make up pads.
