Differences between our standard service and our Bespoke service

At BIDBI we offer two types of services. Our stock range, which are products that are kept in stock and printed in the UK at our Sheffield print factory, and secondly our made to measure service. This bespoke service allows you to get a product exactly made to your specifications.

Both services can be discussed with our Account Managers. For the UK Stock Range standard service, they can guide you on the best print methods to use, help you decide the best bag style for your needs, and answer any design questions. For the bespoke service, they can help you decide on all that plus materials, colours, specific measurements, pricing and any additional features you would like to have such as zips, buttons, or labels.

The two services have some distinctive differences. Read on to find out more.

We carry a wide range of stock at our Sheffield based factory. Whether it's a lightweight cotton bag, a heavyweight canvas tote or a strong jute hamper. We can print your logo or design onto many different bag styles.

Services include:

  • Screen printing, DTG, heat transfer, lithographic

  • Pantone matching inks

  • Foil, glitter, metallic, neon inks are available

  • Samples

  • Swing tickets, barcodes and labels

  • 10-15 day lead time, express available

The process with our standard service is quite straightforward. Once you have chosen your final design for your bag type and to your specifications, our design team will create a visual mock-up based on what you decided. This will show all aspects of the bag, all sides, interiors, and additional features. When you’ve seen your final design on paper, and you are happy, we will start printing.

If your design requires a more bespoke touch we offer a made to measure service. Our trusted global partners which include factories in the UK and India have been handpicked by us to ensure your bag retains the utmost quality at the best price.

It is very little we cannot achieve. We have done it all; everything from bags in a specific Pantone colour, or with extra-long handles, to huge bags for coffins, tiny bags for metal straws, through to circular bags with pockets for knitting.

Just follow these simple five steps and enjoy the smooth journey of our special Bespoke service

Five simple steps:

  1. Choose your fabrics: We can match any specifications for the fabric/s you require or if you already sourced a fabric we can use that. Depending on the purpose of the bag our experts will help you choose the appropriate fabric with the most suitable weight, colour, weave, yarn, wash, shrinkage and durability.

  1. Choose your size: From zip purses, drawstring bags to bags for food markets and laptop cases; we can create a bag of any size.

  1. Choose your print: Using specific textile print methods we can maximise the visibility of your logo or best replicate your design on one of our products. BIDBI’s highly skilled Design Team creates visual samples, allowing you to review your design and make any changes accordingly.

  1. Choose a Trim or extra accessories to your bag: We can add several accessories and trims such as magnetic closures, zip fasteners, inner or outer pockets, clasps, PU or leather trims, detachable handles, eyelets and linings. All of these accessories and trims are ethically sourced and are tested for durability, giving you peace of mind that your bag will reach your customer in perfect condition.

  1. Reviewing the final touches: Whether your bag needs to be swing ticketed, labelled or barcoded we have the means to finish your bag to your specifications. All our packaging options are sustainable and are made from recycled materials.

Once you’ve seen your final design on paper, and you are happy, we will send this visual mock-up to our factory. Our factory will then provide a final quote to make your Bespoke bags. At this point, you will need to approve this cost and process the payment and artwork approval so they can get started.

A few weeks later, a sample will be ready for you. If you have chosen a specific colour for your bag, you will receive a colour sample (lab dip) as well. You will then need to approve the colour swatch/ bespoke bag sample before your bag goes to full production.

After 10-18 weeks (which is our lead time for bespoke bags) and depending on your choice of shipment, your full order will be delivered to you, ready for your event, online store, or business activity.
