BIDBI Joins Fairtrade Fortnight 2023 to Protect the Future of Our Cotton And Other Favorite Foods
BIDBI is proud to announce its participation in Fairtrade Fortnight 2023, taking place from 27 February to 12 March. As a Fairtrade-certified company and leading supporter of sustainable and ethical trade practices, BIDBI is committed to spreading the message of Fairtrade and its impact on communities and the environment.
This year's Fairtrade Fortnight theme is "Making the small switch to Fairtrade supports producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet." Climate change is making crops like coffee, bananas, and chocolate harder and harder to grow, putting communities growing these crops at risk. However, by choosing Fairtrade products, consumers can provide extra income, power, and support for these communities.
How to participate in Fairtrade Fortnight 2023?
Fairtrade Pop-up in London
BIDBI is excited to support the launch of the Endangered Aisle, a pop-up experience in Shoreditch, East London, from 28 February to 2 March. The Endangered Aisle will highlight the supermarket staples most at risk from the climate crisis and will showcase new research from Fairtrade on how climate change is affecting these crops. BIDBI have sent samples from their Fairtrade & GOTS Organic range to the pop-up. So make sure you stay on the lookout for them. In addition to this, BIDBI has printed the official bags for Fairtrade Foundation that have been sent to influential figures in the media & pr industry, who will help raise awareness of Fairtrade Fortnight and its importance.
Attend online events
In addition to visiting the Endangered Aisle, BIDBI encourages customers to join the free online “Big Fairtrade Get Together” events, where they will have the opportunity to hear from Fairtrade farmers and other experts about how to create a sustainable future for our favourite foods and crops including cotton.
